Lime Tree Avenue in Mielno is a historic row of over 150-year-old lime trees that stretches for about 2.3 km along the road connecting Mielno with Mielenko. Three rows of large-leaved limes form a natural tunnel of greenery — one of the most picturesque road sections in this part of the coast.

Historic trees Mielno — natural monument since 2014

The avenue consists of a single-species row of large-leaved limes, probably planted at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Since 2014, the entire avenue has had the status of a legally protected natural monument. It forms part of the regional system of historic tree-lined avenues and serves as a natural ecological corridor between Mielno and Mielenko.

The old lime trees look particularly beautiful in spring, when they are covered with fresh greenery, and in autumn, when their leaves take on golden and copper shades. In summer, the tree crowns provide pleasant shade and natural protection from the sun.

Walking, cycling, a bench with a view

A cycle path and a footpath have been laid out next to the road, and benches are placed along the route — making the avenue an excellent place for a quiet walk or a bike ride. The route is a natural extension of the walking and cycling trails around Mielno and connects with routes leading towards Promenada Przyjaźni.
