Lake Jamno — a former sea bay of exceptional character

Lake Jamno is one of the largest coastal bodies of water in Poland — its area exceeds 2200 hectares. It arose from a former sea bay and to this day connects to the Baltic Sea via the Jamno Channel, a natural canal located in the vicinity of Unieście. It is a shallow lake (the average depth is only 1.4 m) with an exceptionally rich ecosystem. Its waters are home to, among others, zander, pike and the strictly protected river lamprey, and numerous waterfowl nest on its shores.

It is precisely this natural character that makes a cruise on Lake Jamno not only a tourist attraction, but also an opportunity to contact nature in a form that is hard to find on a crowded beach.

What you’ll see from the deck

The cruise route runs along the picturesque shores of the lake. From the deck of the Mila boat, you can admire traditional fishing huts, extensive reedbeds and the panorama of Mielno seen from the water side. The guide continuously talks about the history of the resort, ancient fishing traditions and the natural curiosities of the lake. It is a calm, relaxing way to spend time — both for adults and for children.

Cruises take place every day in the summer season. The first cruise starts at 11:00, the last at 17:00, with a break between 14:00 and 15:00. The duration of one cruise is 45 minutes.

Who are boat cruises for

A cruise on Lake Jamno is a universal attraction. Families with children will appreciate the calm character of the trip and the opportunity to observe birds. Seniors will find a comfortable form of sightseeing here without physical effort. Couples can count on a romantic atmosphere, especially during afternoon cruises. Photographers — both amateurs and advanced — gain access to shots that are hard to capture from the shore. It is worth combining the cruise with a visit to other water attractions or exploring Lake Jamno from the nature side.
