The Koszalin Narrow-Gauge Railway is a historic railway line with a narrow gauge (1000 mm), which has been part of the landscape of the Koszalin region for over 125 years. Opened on 1 November 1898, today it operates as a tourist attraction run by the Koszalin Narrow-Gauge Railway Society.

Routes and rolling stock

The railway offers rides on two routes: from Koszalin to Manowo (12 km) and from Koszalin to Rosnowo (20 km). The trains are pulled by, among others, a Px 48 steam locomotive, over 70 years old — the only one still working on a 1000-mm track in Poland. Historic carriages from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries add an authentic atmosphere to the journey.

The route runs along the Dzierżęcinka River and Lubiatowo Lake, passing through areas of rich nature. Along the way there are educational stops — a bird sanctuary, the “Czapla Góra” nature trail in Manowo, and a hunting track.

Who it’s for and how to get there
