The Tourist Spring in Mielno is a network of free drinking fountains, arranged at the most visited points of the commune. The initiative was created in 2017 as part of the campaign “Quality in every drop”, which was initiated by the local Eco-enterprise responsible for the municipal water supply.

Where you will find the fountains

The springs have been set up in places where thirsty tourists need them most — at the beach entrances, near the Friendship Promenade, by the Tourist Information Centre and next to the Deer Monument in the centre of the town. The first spring was set up by the Jamno Canal, in front of the Eco-enterprise’s headquarters. The water in the fountains comes from the municipal water supply and meets drinking water standards.

A practical stop on the walking route

The Tourist Springs operate free of charge and are available throughout the summer season. They work excellently as a refreshment point during seaside walks, cycling trips along the walking and cycling trails or family trips to the beach. It is a small but well-thought-out element of Mielno’s tourist infrastructure that anyone who forgets to take a water bottle with them on hot days will appreciate.
