The Pier in Chłopy is a 90-metre two-level walkway built in 2015 at the fishing harbour of this picturesque seaside village. The structure was created as part of the redevelopment of the fishing harbour, and the investment worth 5 million zł was carried out by the Maritime Office in Słupsk.
A two-level structure over the Baltic Sea
The pier in Chłopy stands out from the surrounding resorts with its unusual design. The upper level is intended for walkers and tourists — here you will find benches from which you can calmly admire the panorama of the Baltic Sea and watch the life of the fishing village from a maritime perspective. The lower part of the walkway is used by fishermen for mooring boats and unloading the catch, which gives this place an authentic, working character.
The wooden walkway extending into the open sea offers some of the most beautiful views in the area. It is especially worth visiting the pier in the late afternoon, when the setting sun tints the horizon over the Baltic Sea in intense shades of orange and red. It is one of the most photographed points in Chłopy.
Practical information
The pier is accessible free of charge all year round and at any time of day. The structure allows access for prams and is also accessible for people with limited mobility. The walkway is located right next to the Fishing Harbour in Chłopy, where it is worth stopping by one of the fish bars serving fish straight from the boat.
