The Botanical Garden in Niegoszcz is one of the youngest and at the same time most collection-rich places of this type in Poland. The garden has been operating since 2018 over an area of more than 2 hectares in the village of Niegoszcz, just a few minutes’ drive from the centre of Mielno.

Plant collection

Over 5,000 species, varieties and cultivars of plants from different climate zones are gathered on the grounds of the garden. The most extensive collections include tulips, daffodils, irises, peonies and historic rose varieties. In the greenhouse, cacti and succulents grow, and in the garden part you can see exotic trees and shrubs. Vegetables are cultivated using the “no dig” method, that is, without digging up the soil — which provides additional educational value.

The garden area also includes a pond, observation terraces and outbuildings. Educational activities for school groups and individual visitors are organised here.

Who it’s for and when

The Botanical Garden in Niegoszcz is open from 1 April to 31 October, Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 to 17:00 (closed on Mondays). It is a place for lovers of botany, families with children and all those who appreciate calm contact with nature. The visit is worth combining with the nearby Arboretum in Karnieszewice or with a trip to the attractions of Mielno.
